Aaron Scott breaks Langtoft 10K course record

5th May 2019

Elite runner Aaron Scott returned with gritted teeth to claim his third title of a fiercely competitive Langtoft 10K. In 2015 Aaron painstakingly missed out on the 25 year course record of 31m37s by just 6 seconds. With conditions more favourable this year, Aaron led from the start with a determined run, romping home with a new course record of 30m57s, taking 39 seconds off the long standing record while fending off previous winners Jake Richardson and Ben Heron. They claimed 2nd and 3rd respectively in a field of 358 competitors.

Chloe Finlay, from Peterborough Athletics Club was the 1st Lady home in the 10K, with an impressive time of 37m16s.  Full results for the 10K and 3K races are available now on our results page.

Some photos from the day are already available in our gallery, more photos and reports will follow soon...
